Inspired By: September Reads

The following four books were my favorite reads of September! One is about a daring heist, one about rescuing friends from evil, one takes you back to Hogwarts, and one follows the adventures of an arrogant god. And they're all glorious specimens of literature that you should read right away.

Read my reviews for all four of these books RIGHT HERE!

Six of Crows
Six of Crows

Written by Leigh Bardugo; Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can't pull it off alone.

Kaz is one seriously stylish thief. So if you too are going on a heist and want to look go then put on a long black coat, a red peplum top, black jeans, red gloves, and lace-up boots. Or if you'd prefer to be comfortable and hide in the shadows like Inej then slip on a gray hooded sweater, a purple tunic, black leggings, and black flats.

Library of Souls
Library of Souls
Written by Ransom Riggs; Jacob discovers a powerful new ability and soon he’s diving through history to rescue his peculiar companions from a heavily guarded fortress. Jacob, Emma, and Addison will travelThey’ll travel from modern-day London to the labyrinthine alleys of Devil’s Acre, the most wretched slum in all of Victorian England. It’s a place where the fate of peculiar children everywhere will be decided once and for all.

Go for a look based on the black and white vintage photograph cover: a ghostly lace dress, a black newsboy cap, a black blazer, and black booties. Or you can dress like Emma in the book when she wears a bright yellow dress in the worst loop of all, so put on a yellow dress, an orange circle scarf, a watch, and gray flats.

Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide
Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide
Written by J.K. Rowling; Hogwarts An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide takes you on a journey to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You’ll venture into the Hogwarts grounds, become better acquainted with its more permanent residents, learn more about lessons, and discover secrets of the castle.

J.K. Rowling gives us another glimpse into everyone's favorite school: Hogwarts! Dress like one of the merpeople by wearing a green sweater dress, a sparkly blue necklace, mermaid earrings, and sparkly black flats. As a Hufflepuff, I particularly liked when she got to see inside the common room, so wear a black blazer, white collared shirt, yellow plaid skirt, and brown oxford flats.

The Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo #1)
The Hidden Oracle
Written by Rick Riordan; After angering his father Zeus, the god Apollo is cast down from Olympus. Weak and disorientated, he lands in New York City as a regular teenage boy. Now, without his godly powers, the four-thousand-year-old deity must learn to survive in the modern world until he can somehow find a way to regain Zeus's favor. And he can think of only one place to go: Camp Half-Blood.

Apollo is one of the snarkiest and funniest Greek gods ever, so he would definitely wear this "Hashtag Over It" shirt since he doesn't want to be a regular human. Add an olive jacket, jeans, and blue Converse sneakers. Or dress like his tough 12-year-old friend Meg by wearing a green tunic, ripped jeans, cat-eye glasses, and red Converse.
